Absolute brute force, this Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio should be feared and respected. Killer tone and relentless sustain is unleashed from its clean, Mahogany body with a set, Mahogany neck and screams with high-output Alnico Classic humbuckers. The menacing Pitch Black finish and blacked-out hardware complete the dark look. LocTone locking Tune-o-matic bridge and Stop-bar tailpiece raises the sustain beyond belief . This LP features Rosewood fingerboard with Roman numeral “XII” inlaid at 12th fret, Grover machine heads, and Goth series “Celtic cross” insignia on headstock
Features:
- Mahogany body
- Alnico Classic Plus(TM) Humbucker pickups
- Rosewood fretboard
- 24.75 scale

id go with the standard
its a great guitar. I have one and it was amazing when i got it. I say was because im into customizing and i add built in effects and things like sustain systems.
i wouldn’t check out guitar center, they rip you off, i bought a 3,000 dollar stratocaster there, and the pickups were broken, then while tuning it, the head stock cracked in half, then the bridge broke while bending a string.
i would check out the local guitar/music stores and play something you like, then try other stores, if not still satisfied, i would try to look at guitar center again
I would Have to say the SG standard. it probably cost the most for good reasons. ive always wanted an sg but ive got a les paul and love it.
The SG Prophecy would probably do metal the best.
It comes with EMG81/85 combo’s stock. These guitars are predominantly found in the metal scene.
However, for versatility and all around sound I’d probably go with the SG Standard. It has the best quality components and would retain the most value out of all of them, if you ever decide to sell it that is.
Your best bet is to go out and play them, get the one you like the most for comfort, tone and playability. I think only the Gibsons are American made, I heard Epiphones are made in China.
Good luck getting that Gothic.
